The slopes at Holiday Valley and HoliMont are still open. There will be plenty of time to get out the golf clubs, but time is running out to hit the slopes.

Time may also be running out on these low interest rates. According to an article today on the Wall Street Journal online,  “A sudden drop-off in investor demand for U.S. Treasury notes is raising questions about whether interest rates will finally begin a march higher..” 

U.S. mortgage rates are up for a seond straight week…and the trend isn’t likely to stop.  ”Mortgage rates are expected to rise when the Fed — the U.S. central bank — stops buying mortgage-related securities at the end of March,” according to a Reuters article.

So if you’re considering buying a new home, a vacation home or investment property – NOW is the time to buy. For first time homebuyers, the deadline is looming to take advantage of the tax credit.  Buyers must enter into a binding contract to buy a home on or before April 30, 2010 and close on the home sale by June 30, 2010.
